Cable & WirelessCreole in the Park: Catch it! Feel it! Enjoy It! Don’t mis

Cable & Wireless Creole in the Park is a concept which was born in 2003 from the need to satisfy the demand for a day event for local and visiting patrons during Dominica’s annual Independence season. It was also an idea for a fringe event to complement the World Creole Music Festival (WCMF). This festival is held in Late October/early November when Dominica celebrates its national independence. Cable & Wireless is a pioneer sponsor of the World Creole Music Festival and has been the main full service communications provider for the festival.

With the recent decline in banana export revenues, tourism is being called upon to play a greater role in Dominica’s economic development. Dominica is unique in that it is the only country in the world currently hosting a Creole festival. The possibilities to enhance the festival were only ideas. By that time, the WCMF had evolved into one of the premier events on Dominica’s calendar of national activities. More
